My X-Ice are on their 4th and last season. They perform great.
You have to slow traffic behind you if you stop for a light because you'll likely stop much easier than they will if the road has snow and ice.
Also, if you're driving on the interstate you'll get scant warning youre driving on ice.
Looking up the road saved me from a pile up last week. Solid sheet of ice, cars going everywhere. I braked and boom, nothing happening, but I steered around it and got out of there.

Even though I have high end winter tires, I drive like I don't. I'm always looking well down the road anticipating people mistakes and I leave myself an out.

    Safe travels

X-ICE X 13 without studs drives better on ice than the factory studded Hakkapeliita 8s?   I would love to see them side by side an ice-covered track.  From what I've read from X-ICE owners, they do seem to excel on snow compared to others, but if you are comparing "winter" tires, ice is the most treacherous part of winter, IMO.  And from Hakk 8's owners, those are pretty darned good on snow as well.  With the studs, this convinced me to order some, so I guess I'll find out next winter.

General Artic is also a great winter tire, it's also less expensive than most of the tires mentioned in this video.

Just got the Continental WinterContact Si's because literally everywhere I keep hearing the Xi3's are overrated, and the WS80's had no rebate ($70 with contis)

Bull Shit. You are comparing old Blizzak's to new of all the other brands. Blizzak WS80 out performs X-ice xi3.
